Solidarity with Alaa Abdel Fattah
Alaa Abdel Fattah, a liberal bloger and internet journalist is thrown into prison, because he took part on demonstrations against the military powers in egypt. The courts, still controlled by the military power, blame him for calling the masses for violence. A lot of egyptians are fighting for him to come out of prison and to abolish the undemocratic system of law. On the website of the german newsletter “Die Tageszeitung” we found an campaign for supporting Alaa and other acitivists and journalists, which have been thrown into prison. The campain includes a petition, to free all journalists and their assistents, which are cought by egyptian police an military power. Riots on Tahrir Square
Few days after the german exchange group left their friends in Cairo a demonstration on friday went to violent riots between protesters and police. The police and the military attempt to disperse the demonstration. Some protesters burned up a police car. Several secular, liberal and muslim groups called the egyptians to come out to the streets against the military regime and the scaf. Some people was wounded, among them also Correspondents.
